NEW SEASON

It's a new season
Wolverines moving-in, pizza,
barbeque, workouts planned

It all begins tomorrow, Friday, August 15, on a quiet campus. Not even the incoming freshman class will be there.

But it's moving-in day for the Wesley Wolverine volleyball team – nine players are new to the squad (eight freshman) and seven are returning of which there is one lone senior, #32 L/DS Rachel Hausler (Califon, NJ).

Co-captains are Rachel and junior #3 L/DS Meghan Marshall (Wilmington, DE).

The players and their families will celebrate with a noontime pizza party in the college center. Then players send off parents before meeting again for Coach Juli Greep's barbeque gathering in the evening, where the coach also has a few team building activities planned.

Workouts begin early Saturday morning. A few calories will be burnt for sure. Endurance, speed, agility reawakened and fine-tuned; teamwork established. There's at least 27 contests to play before November 2.

The first set of games will be just 13 days away – at the end of the first week of classes – when these Wolverines head out for four games on the road at two different state's venues. They take on the New Jersey City University Knights and the John Jay Bloodhounds in Morristown, NJ, on Friday, August 29, followed the very next afternoon, Saturday, August 30, with games against Bryn Mawr Owls and Penn State Brandywine Lions in Media, PA.
