Wesley softball, volleyball fund raising
Wolverine athletes working
Big Barrel Festival this weekend
The Wesley College Wolverine volleyball and softball teams are working (as a fundraiser) concession stands today through this weekend at the Big Barrel Country Music Festival, The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway, Delaware.
This is the first year for the Big Barrel event, which follows on the hugely successful Firefly Music Festival held on the same grounds just last week. Big Barrel will run Friday, June 26 - Sunday, June 28 from 12:30 pm-12:00 am each day.
If you go, please give a big howdy to our hard working Wolverines behind many of the food booths!

GUIDE FOR WESLEY FESTIVAL WORKERS
Wesley softball/ volleyball teams
Huge team fund raiser
starts this Wednesday
Coming fast... This week and next week two major fund raising venues arrive back-to-back for the Wesley College Wolverine volleyball and softball teams.
The events are fantastic – Firefly Music Festival & Big Barrel Country Music Festival – but the work can be hot, arduous, long on hours, often with non-stop service to crowds expected to reach upwards to 90,000.
Many thanks to the volunteer workers, especially those not players themselves.
Here is everything you want to know about where to be, how to dress, and what to bring for staff workers at the festivities.
Click here for contact information to reach Head Softball/Head Volleyball Coach Juli Greep.

FIREFLY & BIG BARREL
Just 50 days away
Wolverines will work fund raising
at two music festivals this summer
Lucky Wesley Wolverines. They all have at least one summer job!
That is, guaranteed hours, albeit long shifts, for seven days over two weeks early this summer.
It is team fund raising at the Firefly Music Festival, Thursday-Sunday, June 18-21 and Big Barrel Country Music Festival, Friday-Sunday, June 26-28, in Dover, DE.
This year the Firefly Music Festival should be bigger than ever with the arrival of Paul McCartney, 139 nationally known musical acts, road trips, dance parties, crowd sing-a-longs, encores, silently discoing, hanging out in hammocks, crowd surfing, and, what the event boasts is “the best weekend of the summer.”
It all happens in the 105-acre Woodlands of Dover International Speedway, just a mile or so from the Wesley College campus.
Then, four days later, Dover welcomes three days of 38 country music top performers at the first annual Big Barrel Country Music Festival, Friday-Sunday, June 26-28.
So Wolverines mark the dates on your calendar – 6/18-21 & 6/26-28 – to serve as festival workers where, if past years are a guide, you will be serving an assortment of tacos, sweets and sodas amid hungry crowds and loud music.
Arrangements are made for teammates from out of town to typically bunk with local players.

SALISBURY PREVIEW
Salisbury away game
Rival Sea Gulls on deck
Wednesday for Wolverines
This Wednesday, October 29, the Wesley College Wolverines travel south to challenge Route 13 rival Salisbury University Sea Gulls in a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) contest.
The match will be held at 7:00 PM on the Salisbury campus at the Maggs Physical Activities Center in the lower level main gymnasium located at 1101 Camden Avenue, Salisbury, MD.
The Sea Gulls 3-4 conference record (though 18-9 overall) belies somewhat a Salisbury team that can truly dominate the court. The Sea Gulls almost disrupted the CAC's 7-0 standings leader Christopher Newport Captains' – CNU, 27-3 overall -- record of not having been defeated in regular season conference match for what is now 136 straight games. In that near Salisbury victory, the Captains won the first and third sets 26-24 each time, while the Sea Gulls triumphed in second and fourth 25-23 each time, before CNU picked up the fifth 15-7.
According to a link at the Salisbury website, the Wesley game on Wednesday evening should be available via a live broadcast online. See: http://portal.stretchinternet.com/salisbury
